BIO-LAYER INTERFEROMETRY (BLI)

Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) is a label-free technology for measuring biomolecular interactions.
It is a fast and high throughput technique that enables real-time analysis for determination of affinity, kinetics and concentration.
One of the two binding partners is immobilized onto a biosensor surface while the other binding partner is in solution.
This microfluidic-free technology is particularly adapted to dip directly biosensors into various solutions and perform binding assays in crude lysates or cell culture media without interference, enabling the screening of small molecule fragment library.
The Octet RED96 supports one 96-well plate, provides 8-well simultaneous read-out and biosensor re-racking.

Device: BLItz and Octet RED96 system from Fortebio
